Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was furious with Darwin Nunez in the aftermath of his red card during last night's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

Twelve minutes after the break, Nunez decided to throw his head into the face of Palace centre-back Joachim Andersen.

Referee Paul Tierney was left with no choice but to send off the striker, meaning he became just the second Liverpool player to be sent off on their home Premier League bow.

Footage captured by Sky Sports showed his manager's furious response to the incident, with Nunez taking his time to leave the field of play. Despite the evidence meaning he had little reason to protest, he did attempt to claim his innocence, rowing with several of Andersen's colleagues.

It was at this point that Klopp demanded captain James Milner to get Nunez off the field, with Liverpool trailing in the league yet again. The German boss could be seen screaming at Nunez for him to come off the pitch and not waste any more time which would be needed for a comeback.
