"Will it be the most exciting finish with different teams around? Could be but City could run away now as well. They are in a good position, playing good football," said Klopp, whose side returned to form with a 3-1 win at Tottenham on Thursday and face West Ham on Sunday.

Manchester United won the league with a record low 75 points in 1996-97 and Klopp thinks a similar figure could be enough - provided City slow down.

"What we see is, it is a difficult season for all teams maybe apart from West Ham, and Leicester looks pretty good as well. A lot of teams look good but we all have our ups and downs for different reasons.

"It is a year where you need to be lucky with injuries and on top of things, more so than other years, more so because of the intensity and amount of games in a specific period. But I can imagine from outside it is really exciting for the neutral.

"I don't know who will be champion. If we cannot be already, then the best news is that it is really exciting. Nobody knows."
