Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing a 31-goal PSV winger
Anfield Watch
Liverpool could make a move for PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo, according to Voetbal International, as cited by Anfield Edition's Twitter account.
The Reds are reportedly keen to sign the 22-year-old. However, apparently Manchester City are also interested in Gakpo.
The Dutchman's contract expires in June 2025. Gakpo possesses a current market value of €22 million.
Gakpo is a talented footballer. The winger has scored 31 goals and registered 29 assists in 116 appearances for PSV.
Also, as we have already pointed out, Gakpo is only 22 years of age. With that being the case, it would be fair to assume that the Dutchman still has plenty of room left for improvement.
Liverpool do possess an ageing forward line. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all aged between 29-30.
Therefore, it would make sense for the Reds to sign a forward of Gakpo's profile. But, only time will tell if Liverpool are genuinely interested in the youngster.
