Liverpool are interested in Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland, according to Mundo Deportivo, as cited by Sport Witness.
The report implies that the Reds are tracking the 21-year-old. Haaland’s contract does not expire until the summer of 2024.
The striker does possess a current market value of €130 million.
However, it has been reported by the Mirror that the striker will be available for a fee between €75-90 million next year (release clause).
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
We would love to see the Reds sign Haaland because he is a superb player. The forward has scored 68 goals and registered 19 assists in 67 appearances for Borussia Dortmund’s first-team.
Haaland has also had a solid start to the 2021-22 campaign. The 21-year-old is averaging a WhoScored player rating of 8.51 after five Bundesliga matches.
Due to Haaland’s age, he could lead Liverpool’s forward line for a number of years. Only time will tell if the Reds are genuinely interested in the youngster.
