Liverpool have entered into a new phase under the leadership of Arne Slot. Luckily, Jurgen Klopp has handed over a competitive group, who finished in the third spot in the points table. Despite that, they surely need some reinforcement in the summer.

Federico Chiesa is a proven performer

After plying his trade at Fiorentina, Federico Chiesa moved to Juventus in 2020. His impressive starts at the latter club tempted them to sign him on a permanent basis. He has been a consistent performer and a regular name on the team sheet.

Chiesa is a versatile attacker who can play on the wings and also act as a striker. He is a good dribbler and has got strong hold on the ball. With accurate passes and the ability to sense goals, he is a threat in the final third for the opponents.

The Italian attacker has netted nine goals and provided three assists in 36 games this season. He is averaging 2.2 shots, 1.5 key passes, and 1 dribble per game (stats via whoscored).

A good pick for Liverpool?

Liverpool’s alleged interest in Federico Chiesa makes sense as the player is versatile enough. His arrival will add flexibility to the offensive line, which they missed in this campaign. He is also a proven name and can make an instant impact next season.

The Reds even sent their representatives to watch the player play in the Coppa Italia final against Atlanta, which Juventus won. Reportedly, the Italian outfit are open to offload the 26-year-old if any good offer arrives. Anything around £50 million should do the job for the Reds.
