In a recent print edition, Salzburger Nachrichten claimed that Liverpool are eyeing a move for Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Luka Sucic. It has been revealed that the Reds are hoping to bring the Croat playmaker to Merseyside during the summer transfer window.
Sucic has enjoyed a decent campaign at the Austrian club as he has managed to put in a few eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 20-year-old has done well to pick up four assists in 25 matches for RB Salzburg this season on all fronts.
The Croatia international has caught the eye with his performances in Europe and deserves credit for averaging 1.0 tackles, 0.8 interceptions, 0.6 clearances, 2.8 shots, 1.4 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per game in the UEFA Champions League. He has even taken care of the ball well when distributing possession from the back, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 77.3% in league football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Red Bull Arena is set to run out in the summer of 2025. Hence, Liverpool will have to make a sizable offer if they want to recruit the Croat sensation.

Sucic usually works hard for his team off the ball as he doesn’t mind getting stuck in with some crunching tackles to make life difficult for the opposition. Sucic mainly functions as an attacking midfielder but can also fill in as a box-to-box midfielder or as a left-sided winger if his manager asks him to do so.
The Croatia international can strike the ball with venom and accuracy from long range and has got the vision to engineer a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third. He can also make a few driving runs with the ball in the opponent’s half.
We can expect Sucic to add more goals and creativity to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp‘s attack. He is good enough to increase competition for places within the Merseyside club‘s squad and could help the Reds compete for some major trophies in the coming seasons.
At 20, Sucic has the potential to become a future star in Premier League football. Therefore, Klopp would be wise to snap him up during the summer transfer window.
