In a recent tweet, renowned journalist Florian Plettenberg mentioned that Liverpool are among the clubs hoping to recruit Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier. It has been stated that the Reds along with other top Premier League and Bundesliga clubs are showing interest in signing the German talent this summer.
Beier has experienced an impressive campaign at the Bundesliga club as he has put in a handful of productive displays for them in the final third. The 21-year-old has found the back of the net on 12 occasions and secured five assists in 27 matches for the German outfit this season in multiple competitions.
The German attacker has caught the eye by averaging 2.5 shots, 0.6 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. However, he needs to be careful when distributing the ball on the offensive end of the field based on his pass completion rate of 69.3% in the German first division (stats via whoscored).
Beier’s current contract at Hoffenheim will expire in the summer of 2027 which would make it difficult for Liverpool to get him on a reduced fee at the end of this season..

Beier can create some space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. He has got the vision to engineer a few decent chances for his teammates in the final third and can make a few clever runs with the ball in the opposition half.
The German forward can be a streaky goal-getter in front of the opponent’s goal. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a wide player on either flank if asked to do so by his manager.
We can expect Beier to add more goals to Liverpool‘s frontline. He has what it takes to serve as an ideal understudy to Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota at the Merseyside club in the post Jurgen Klopp-era. At 21, the German sensation has the potential to become a world-class centre-forward someday.
Therefore, Beier would be a good fit for the Reds’ needs in the long run. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physicality and high intensity of Premier League football
