Barcelona president Joan Laporta has REJECTED new contract demands from Pedri.
The Spain midfielder's agents have been in contact with Laporta in recent days and made their demands. The approach was made as interest from Liverpool and their manager Jurgen Klopp has emerged this month.
Okdiario via Le 10 Sport says Pedri, 18, is pushing for parity with Ansu Fati after an outstanding first season at Barca. However, Laporta has rejected the request.
Pedri's current deal carries a two-year option, but the teen would also like a pay-rise.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have been in contact with his camp since the end of the season, but Pedri remains committed to Barca.
Pedri, signed from Las Palmas two summers ago, joined Barca officially last summer and quickly established himself not only as a first-choice for the Catalans, but is now part of Spain's midfield at Euro 2020.
Last season, the midfielder managed 52 appearances for Barca, scoring four goals and producing six assists.
