Jordan Pickford had a Merseyside derby to forget on the Monday Night Football.
The Everton goalkeeper was guilty of a horrendous error for Mohamed Salah's first half opener.
Pickford's positioning for the counterattack goal was as bad as it gets, because it essentially provided Liverpool's main man with the easiest of first-time finishes.
Things didn't really improve for Pickford and Everton in the second half either.
Cody Gakpo finally opened his account for Liverpool shortly after the interval to make it 2-0.
And that was the end of the scoring on a very positive night for Jurgen Klopp's side.
Not only did they achieve victory over their fiercest rivals, a number of their big players returned from injury as well.
Both Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino were brought on as substitutes in the second half, while Virgil van Dijk was back on the bench.
Oh and Andrew Robertson made the night even sweeter for the Reds by laughing in Pickford's face.
The two players clashed near the touchline, with Robertson attempting to waste a bit of time with his team 2-0 up and cruising.
Pickford didn't take kindly to the Scotsman's actions and pushed his opponent in the back, but that simply resulted in him being laughed at by the Liverpool left-back.
Has Robertson provided us with a new footballing meme? He may well have...
Robertson is well-known for being a bit of a wind-up merchant - and he certainly lived up to his reputation in the derby!
Soon after Robertson had a little giggle at Pickford's expense, tensions really threatened to boil over on the touchline.
So, Liverpool are back above Chelsea and have closed the gap to Newcastle United in fourth place to nine points.
And who do they play next in the Premier League? Only Newcastle away from home.
If Liverpool can make it two wins on the spin in Saturday's late kick-off, their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League will be far, far higher than they were a few weeks back.
