Lisandro Martínez is facing up to two months out of action with his injury from Manchester United’s win over West Ham.
The World Cup winner limped out during the second half of Sunday’s Old Trafford encounter with suspected ACL damage.
But Argentine journalist Gastón Edul has revealed that the prognosis of Martínez’s injury is less severe than initially feared.
The Red Devils defender, however, is expected to be sidelined for between six and eight weeks after suffering a sprained ligament.
Erik ten Hag’s side are next in action when they travel to Aston Villa on Sunday.
