Tonight sees the first bout of the two title-fight games in five days for the Hoops with the visit to take on Hearts at the Oriam before hosting Hibernian at Celtic Park on Sunday with both games vital in the destination of the SWPL trophy.

A player who knows about lifting trophies is Hoops midfielder Lisa Robertson and the thirst for silverware hasn’t lost its aura for the experienced Celt, and her team-mates are feeling the end-of-season thrill as well.

She said: “It’s really exciting, the girls are obviously doing really well and we’re really full of confidence, but we know that it’s a massive week, and it’s something that we have to prepare properly for.

“So we are really looking forward to the final week. It’s two massive games, but, of course, as the saying goes, it’s one game at a time and that’s the game that we’re focusing on right now.”

The Ghirls go into the game on the back of a 3-0 win over Partick Thistle in Airdrie that increased their goal difference to 15 goals going into tonight’s game.

Robertson said: “It was a great performance by everyone, we’re really happy with the momentum that we’re carrying at the moment and you can see that because game after game we’re getting results and putting in good performances.”

The Celt gave birth to baby boy, Lucas in November but was remarkably back in the side for the 5-0 win over Partick Thistle on April 14 when she came on from the bench, and a week later was involved in another 5-0 win, this time over tonight’s opponents, Hearts, but on the hallowed turf of Paradise in front of a large crowd.

That has whetted her appetitive both for tonight’s game as Elena Sadiku’s side line up against Hearts, and the Sunday Showdown in the ‘Fight to the Finish’ match-up with Hibs at Celtic Park.

She said of her return: “It’s really pleasing to come back into the team at this stage and obviously the girls have had a fantastic year.

‘So to be able to just even add half-an-hour to the squad’s been really good, and it’s really good for me and it’s really good for the girls it’s really exciting to see what happens this week.’

“We’re expecting a really tough test, we’ve played Hearts home and way and both games have been really difficult.

“No more so than at the Oriam, so we have to really get to training and focus on what we are going to do, because they obviously have threats, but we have a lot  of good threats too and we need to look at their weaknesses and exploit them.

“And after the weekend we’re obviously confident that we can do that if we keep the focus on that game.”

And as for the win-at-all-costs tag, she added: “Even if it turns out to be ugly, we don’t even care at this stage, but we have been playing pretty good football this season to hopefully we do it in a nice way with nice football,.

“But the most important thing is three points on the road and then the final game at home.

“Obviously we have fans home and away but we’re really excited and we thank them for their support the whole year.”
