Sarina Wiegman’s side returned home on Monday where they received a rapturous welcome from fans at Southend Airport.

They were taken to a special reception at 10 Downing Street where they were greeted by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner.

After an outfit change, the Lionesses continued their celebrations in the streets of London on Monday night.

Lionesses party in Soho to celebrate Euro 2025 triumph

The Lionesses headed to Little Italy in Soho, London, to party and celebrate their Euro 2025 final victory over Spain.

England successfully defended their European Championship following a penalty shootout win over the pre-tournament favourites.

The players seemed to be in high spirits as they were pictured heading into a venue.

Among those pictured were England captain Leah Williamson, Chloe Kelly, Lauren James, Lucy Bronze, Ella Toone, Alex Greenwood and Keira Walsh.

Their celebrations lasted beyond 4am meaning they have little sleep ahead of today’s trophy parade.

It as a busy day for the Lionesses after they were given canapes and drinks in the garden at 10 Downing Street earlier in the day.

Some of the team took a video call from Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who was unable to attend in person due to talks with US President Donald Trump in Scotland.

He said: “Fantastic to see you all and welcome to Downing Street. I just wanted to say a huge huge congratulations to you and to the whole team.

“It was an absolutely amazing victory and you must’ve felt the eyes and ears of the whole country on you last night. You made history so many times over last night.”

Starmer decided not to give a bank holiday despite previously calling for one before the Lionesses won the finals of Euro 2022 and the 2023 World Cup.

SheKicks launched a petition for a bank holiday which received 6,770 signatures.

When does England’s Euro 2025 trophy parade begin?

The celebrations continue today with a trophy parade where thousands of England fans are expected to greet the Lionesses.

An open-top bus parade through The Mall is set to start at 12.10pm.

This will be followed by a ceremony outside Buckingham Palace, which will be hosted by Alex Scott.

The celebrations are expected to echo the scenes of Trafalgar Square three years ago, after the Lionesses won Euro 2022.

Attention will then turn to the start of the new domestic season. Players will rest up for the campaign with the WSL starting on September 5th.
