Speaking to journalists before his Argentina team face the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar, coach Lionel Scaloni addressed the absence of Roma forward Paulo Dybala so far in the tournament. The 29-year-old attacker is one of few Argentina players yet to play a minute in Qatar and Scaloni explained:

“Dybala has not played yet because I have not seen a chance to put him in the team. He’s fine to be play, we’re happy with him and with his contribution, but we have 26 players and we try to put the players on the pitch that we think are appropriate, depending on the development of each match.”
