Lionel Messi just continues to amaze with every passing week.
The Barcelona forward was, you won’t be surprised to learn, their key man on Saturday night as the Blaugrana came from 2-0 down to draw with Valencia.
Messi got both goals at Camp Nou – the first a penalty on the stroke of half-time and the second a properly brilliant outside of the box effort.
But those two strikes saw the Ballon d’Or winner continue a remarkable goalscoring streak in LaLiga.
The goals took Messi to 21 for the season already, the 11th consecutive season in which he’s scored 20 or more goals.
Obviously, that’s a Spanish record and shows that Messi’s not just a genius, he’s consistently a genius.
