Lionel Messi’s son Mateo has already established himself as a star in his own right.
The youngster has shot to fame for his antics in appearing to actively root against his dad and mock him for his, admittedly rare, career failures.

But it appears he has been handed down some of his footballing talent too.
In celebration of his birthday, Mateo’s mother uploaded a video on Instagram of him weaving past imaginary defenders before firing into a net in the manner we have seen his father do so many times.
It didn’t end there either with Messi’s partner Antonella Roccuzzo also sharing an image of Mateo mimicking his dad’s celebration.
We’re already looking forward to seeing him in action some day!
