Paris Saint-Germain only printed ‘GOAT’ on Lionel Messi’s warm-up training top ahead of their Champions League clash against Juventus.

We explained back in July that PSG would have ‘GOAT’ printed on the sleeves of their kits after teaming up with the online clothing platform.

PSG’s chief partnerships officer, Marc Armstrong, said of the collaboration in April: “We are delighted to welcome GOAT into the Paris Saint-Germain family. Thanks to this partnership, GOAT joins the tight list of club partners present on our emblematic jerseys.

“GOAT is the ideal partner for the club. It reinforces our position as an icon of sport and style with fans around the world. Together, we will develop exciting and creative experiences to delight fans everywhere.”

Of course, many football fans immediately made the connection to Lionel Messi with many considering the Argentine the GOAT (Greatest of All Time).

While ‘GOAT’ can be seen printed on the arms of PSG kits this season, fans spotted something unusal about their training kit on Tuesday night.

That’s because ‘GOAT’ was nowhere to be seen on the arms of PSG players on their white training kit ahead of their game against Juventus. However, it was seen on the sleeve of one star – Messi.

Very cheeky indeed.

When the match got underway, it was Kylian Mbappe who stole the show.

The Frenchman scored two quite brilliant goals from Neymar’s assists as PSG raced into a 2-0 lead against Juve in Paris.

Juve did pull a second half goal back through Weston McKennie but the French side held on to claim all three points in the opening group stage match.

Christophe Galtier’s side are amongst one of the favourites to win the competition as the club seek their first European triumph of their career.

After beating Juve, they face Maccabi Haifa and Benfica in a group they’re now firmly expected to top.

With Mbappe and Neymar in this kind of form and the ‘GOAT’ in their ranks, you’d be a brave person to bet against them.
