An incident involving Lionel Messi has gone viral after a fan verbally insulted the Barcelona star as he signed autographs.
The female fan wanted Messi to sign a Rosario Central shirt, rivals of Messi’s boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys.
The matches between Newell’s and Rosario are regarded as the most important Argentine derby outside of Buenos Aires.
It’s believed the fan called Messi “pecho frĂo”, which translates to “passionless,” which is about as ridiculous of a claim as one can make.
Messi grew up playing for Newell’s Old Boys and spent six years with the club before joining Barcelona in 2001. He’s previously stated that the only club he would leave Barcelona for is Newell’s.
