Argentina’s front three against Saudi Arabia today could have Lionel Messi, Angel di Maria and Lautaro Martinez start together.
The Selecao have been placed in a group which has Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland. Elsewhere later in the day, Mexico will take on Poland as well. But with Argentina starting their campaign much earlier, all eyes will be on Leo Messi’s side on Tuesday.
Ole have reported that Argentina’s front three is likely to be inclusive of Messi, Di Maria and Martinez, with Rodrigo de Paul, Leandro Paredes and Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister expected to start behind the front three.
The back four is expected to have Tottenham’s Cristian Romero, Nicolas Otamendi, Marcos Acuna and Atletico Madrid’s Nahuel Molina, with Lisandro Martinez likely to be on the bench. Lionel Scaloni is expected to have Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez between the sticks.
The South American side’s next World Cup game will see them take on Mexico and then Poland.
