Lionel Messi has departed Inter Miami’s Major League Soccer match with Toronto FC with an apparent injury.
The Argentine appeared to be laboring in the waning minutes of the first half and was promptly withdrawn by manager Tata Martino before the two-teams headed down the tunnel for the break.

Messi did not feature for Miami last weekend in their league showdown with Atlanta United due to fatigue, and it appears he may have been rushed back into action.
With six games remaining, Miami still remain six points outside of the playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.
To make matters worse, the Herons are just one week away from the U.S. Open Cup Final against Houston.
