Argentina faced Peru in their latest World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, and their leading man was at it again.
Lionel Messi netted two goals in 10 minutes to ensure the visiting team had complete control heading into the second half.
The Inter Miami ace was left unmarked near the edge of the box and rifled in a left-footed curler for the opener.
In the blink of an eye, another goal from virtually the same position then doubled Argentina’s lead.
It means Messi now has the most goals in CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying (31), overtaking former Barcelona team-mate Luis Suarez, who had 29 with Uruguay.
Another record broken. Are you surprised?
