Lionel Messi and Paul Pogba were filmed together in Dubai this weekend in what some have suggested could have been a secret meeting about a future transfer, but which was probably just two wealthy men bumping into each other on holiday.

Having not been called up by their respective national teams, both players are currently enjoying some much deserved downtime in the sunny climes of the United Arab Emirates.

According to The Sun, the pair spoke in Spanish about the famous N’Golo Kanté song which swept the nation following France’s World Cup triumph in the summer.

Pogba is supposed to have mentioned the line in the song “He stopped Messi” to which Messi replied “That’s a lie!”

The Argentine and the Frenchman were both dining at a restaurant owned by Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe – aka Salt Bae – when they met, and it seems they both got the full experience.

The nutritionists at Barcelona and Manchester United probably won’t be happy when they see this footage.
