Gian Piero Gasperini doesn’t rotate his Atalanta squad much for an away Serie A game at Cagliari, despite next week’s Europa League meeting with Liverpool at Anfield.

Atalanta meet Claudio Ranieri’s Cagliari in Sardinia today at 17:00 UK time (GMT+1).

La Dea are eight points below fourth-placed Bologna in the Serie A table but have two games in hand, therefore they can still hope to qualify for the Champions League.

For this reason, Gasp doesn’t rotate much today, starting in-form Teun Koopmeiners, Gianluca Scamacca and Ademola Lookman.

However, Isak Hien rests making room for Italy international Rafael Toloi in central defence. Likewise, Davide Zappacosta and Hans Hateboer get the nod on the wings leaving Emil Holm and Matteo Ruggeri on the bench.

La Dea are without the injured Giorgio Scalvini in Cagliari and the Italian defender will also miss both European matches against Liverpool due to a bicep injury.

Charles De Ketelaere returns to action but goes on the bench after missing the most recent league game against Napoli with a hamstring injury.
