Palace are expected to recall Plange from his loan spell with Belgian outfit RWD Molenbeek in order to facilitate a temporary move to Sincil Bank for the forward.

The Imps have managed to convince the Eagles to sanction a switch due to the fact that they have offered assurances regarding game-time for Plange.

Palace signed the 20-year-old from Derby County last year before immediately loaning him back to the club for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign.

score four goals in 26 Championship appearances for the Rams while he also chipped in with two assists.

Since sealing a temporary move to RWD Molenbeek, the forward has produced four direct goal contributions in the 16 appearances that he has made in all competitions.

Providing that Lincoln are able to finalise a deal before the window shuts, Plange could potentially make his debut for the club in their clash with Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

The Verdict

This could turn out to be a shrewd bit of business by Lincoln as Plange has already demonstrated in his career that he is capable of making a difference at a higher level than League One.

By adapting quickly to life in the third-tier, the forward could go on to help the Imps achieve a relative amount of success during the remainder of the campaign by scoring goals and providing assists.

Providing that Plange goes on to feature week in, week out for Lincoln, he could make considerable strides in terms of his development before returning to Selhurst Park later this year.

Palace will certainly be keeping a close eye on the progress that he makes in this latest loan spell as they will be eventually aiming to use him at senior level in the not-too-distant future.
