Lille’s Reinildo set to sign for Atlético Madrid

Fabrizio Romano reports today that Lille left-back Reinildo is set to sign for Atlético Madrid, with the Mozambican arriving in the Spanish capital for his medical today.

The 28-year-old, whose contract with Les Dogues was expiring at the end of the season, had been in the north of France since 2019, notably playing a part in last year’s title win.

According to Foot Mercato, the defender had expressed his desire to leave this window in order to bring the club some money for his departure. An official announcement is expected soon after today’s medical.
