Kevin Denkey (23) has been strongly linked with a move away from Cercle Brugge in recent months. On top form, the Togolese forward was natrually linked with a move to AS Monaco, an afifiliate of the Belgian club, in the summer, whilst more recently, there have been storng links with a move to Lille OSC, as reported by Sacha Tavolieri.
An announcement on his future now looks imminent. In the build-up to Sunday’s game, Cercle Brugge posted a message on social media, stating that the striker had been given permission to have talks about a potential transfer, which “require his physical presence”.
Rumours surfaced that he had been travelling to Lille, however, instead, the striker looks close to a move to the MLS. As reported by Nieuwsblad Sport, Cercle Brugge have reached an agreement with FC Cincinatti, thought to be worth over €15m. The deal is not yet complete with Denkey himself yet to agree personal terms, whilst the Belgian side are also looking to retain their talisman striker until the end of the season.
