Lille target free agent Anthony Martial | OneFootball

According to a report from RMC Sport, Lille OSC are considering a move for former Manchester United forward Anthony Martial (28), who is a free agent since the expiry of his contract with the Red Devils.

Les Dogues will compete in the UEFA Champions League this season, following their qualification via the dreaded playoffs. As a result, the Ligue 1 side are considering further strengthening their squad, despite the closure of the transfer window on Friday evening.

One of the players that could be considered is Martial, whose contract with Manchester United came to an end earlier this summer. RMC Sport understands that the financial aspect of the deal won’t be an issue for LOSC, despite their inability to match the contract he was on at Old Trafford. For the former France international, it is the sporting aspect that will weight most heavily, and the prospect of working once again with Bruno Genesio, and competing in the Champions League, may work in Lille’s favour.
