According to Sacha Tavolieri, Lille are pursuing a deal in order to bring in the 18-year-old Lucas Stassin. The young Belgian striker is making a name for himself with RCSA Futures, Anderlecht’s reserve team, in Challenger Pro League, the Belgian second tier, putting up 11 goals and registering 2 assists in 16 games.

This fine form earned him a call-up to the senior team, which saw him feature both in the Jupiler League as well as in the Europa Conference League, where he appeared as a substitute againt West Ham United. He also reportedly caught the eye of Lille’s scouting department.

Les Dogues have already started discussions with Lucas Stassin’s entourage. However, no contact seem to have taken place between Paulo Fonseca’s side, who are currently 7th in Ligue 1, and their Belgian counterpart regarding the future of the son of former Angers SCO player Stéphane Stassin. Lucas Stassin’s contract with Anderlecht runs until 2024.
