Lille interested in signing Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma | OneFootball

According to Foot Mercato, LOSC Lille are interested in signing Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma (27) before the end of the transfer window.

Les Dogues have already contacted the Dutch international’s entourage to express their interest in signing him. The Ligue 1 club are yet to contact Villarreal to begin negotiations to sign the former Everton loanee. With no negotiations yet established between the two clubs, it remains to be seen if the interest will materialise into a potential transfer. Lille would like to sign Danjuma on loan.

In France at last?

Last season, the former Bournemouth attacker was on loan at Everton. Lyon showed a strong interest in signing Danjuma during the January transfer window as they looked to turn their fortunes around. It looked as though the Dutchman would end up in Ligue 1 but for Everton preventing a transfer unless OL would allow Jake O’Brien to join the Premier League club. The Irishman has now moved to the Merseyside club.
