Carlo Ancelotti and company are already planning to reinforce the Everton squad for next season and may have taken a giant step toward making their defence more impenetrable.
According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, Everton and massive Lille centre-back Gabriel Magalhães have agreed personal terms on a five-year deal.
While Everton and Lille now must agree to a fee, it’s been reported that Lille are close to accepting a bid of around €30m.
It’s also believed that Gabriel has already completed an off-site medical, the 22-year-old still must consider other reported offers from Leicester City and PSG.
Gabriel has emerged as Lille’s first-choice centre-back, making 34 of his 52 career first-team appearances for Ligue 1’s fourth-placed side this season.
