Lille consider move for former Strasbourg defender Alexander Djiku | OneFootball

Lille OSC’s centre-backs are the subjects of interest this summer. Bafodé Diakité has been a target for Bournemouth throughout the summer, whilst Alexsandro Ribeiro also has admirers, following his Brazil debut.

LOSC are therefore potentially in the market for a centre-back, in the event that one of their current starters leaves this summer. A target has been identified – Fenerbahçe’s Alexander Djiku (30). As per a report from L’Équipe, Lille are interested in the Ghanaian, but they aren’t the only interested party. Villarreal, who have just lost former Toulouse FC defender Logan Costa to a long-term injury, are interested, as are AS Roma.

Djiku, who has a wealth of Ligue 1 experience (221 appearances in France’s top-flight), is on the market this summer as he has now entered the final year of his contract at Fenerbahçe. Last season, the former RC Strasbourg Alsace centre-back played 38 games in all competitions for Turkish side Fenerbahçe.
