Lille boss Paulo Fonseca waiting for Milan move | OneFootball

Paulo Fonseca is on the verge of joining Serie A outfits Milan as their new head coach.

According to a report by Manuele Baiocchini of Sky Italia, Lille manager Paulo Fonseca is waiting to complete the final agreements with Milan to join them ahead of the summer transfer window.

Despite the options available in the market like that of Roberto De Zerbi and Antonio Conte, the Rossoneri are adamant on progressing with the former Roma manager.

Paulo Fonseca failed to lead Lille to qualify directly for the Champions League in the final matchday of the Ligue 1 season as they now have to go through the play-offs to secure a berth in the competition.

Milan had to bear around €11.5 million due to the termination of Stefano Pioli and his coaching staff’s contract as they now have to recover the amount from the transfer window.

The club will hope to finish all proceedings in the next few days to land the Portuguese coach.
