Including French, logically the best represented in France's top flight, no fewer than 70 different sporting nationalities are present this season in our championship. Africa, which has historically provided oodles of talent for Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs, is particularly well represented, while there is - as usual - a healthy colony of Brazilians plying their trade in France in the 2021-22 season. Senegal in front, Brazil not far behind African countries are indeed well represented this season in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. With Senegal, Mali, Côte d'Ivoire, Algeria, Cameroon and Morocco, Africa boasts six countries into the Top 10 of the best-represented nations. Senegal takes first place with 26 players, Mali takes third place (16 players), ahead of Côte d'Ivoire, fourth (15 players). Only one nation managed to limit this domination: Brazil. With 24 representatives, the land of Neymar ranks second and continues its tradition in our league. Portugal, in fifth place, is the leading European nation outside France, with 14 players. Belgium and the Netherlands, tied for seventh (11 players), are also well placed. Top 10 sporting nationalities present in Ligue 1 Uber Eats (excluding France) 1. Senegal, 26 players 2. Lille are the Ligue 1 Uber Eats champion in this respect, as well as the club with the fewest French players (7). Behind France, Portugal (four players: J. Fonte, Djalo, Xeka and R. Sanches) and Turkey (three players: Celik, Yazici and Yilmaz) are the two strongest communities in the Lille dressing room. At the other end of the spectrum, Stade Brestois 29 are one of the clubs with the fewest number of nationalities (8), also boasting the most French players (22). OL's Brazilians, Metz's Senegalese With 15 different nationalities, Olympique de Marseille and Clermont Foot have the most diverse squads after LOSC. Behind their strong contingent of French players (18), OM can rely on their Brazilian (three players) and Spanish (3 players) communities, reinforced respectively this summer by Gerson and Luan Peres, as well as Pau Lopez, and Pol Lirola. In terms of Brazilian colonies, Olympique Lyonnais dominate the competition with five Brazilians in their ranks. Marcelo, Henrique, Thiago Mendes, Bruno Guimaraes and Lucas Paqueta all ply their trade for the Rhône valley club. Les Gones' Brazilian clan is not the biggest foreign enclave among Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs - to find that, you have to look further to the north-east. Linked to the Dakar-based Génération Foot Academy, FC Metz have seven Senegalese players in their squad with O. Ba, P.M. Sarr, Niane, N'Guette, C. Sabaly, L. Gueye and P.N. Yade. Paris Saint-Germain and OGC Nice are the two clubs with the fewest French players in their ranks (ten each) behind LOSC. In the capital, Argentina and Spain are the two most represented sporting nations behind France, with four players, just ahead of Brazil (3). For Les Aiglons, it is Algeria and the Netherlands, each with three representatives. As for Angers SCO, who have 18 French players, it is the Ivory Coast that stands out with three representatives. At AS Monaco, it is Germany (three players) that comes second to the 14 French players in the squad. Number of different sporting nationalities by club 1. LOSC, 18 2.
