Ligue 1 Predictions, Round 26
GFFN editor-in-chief Luke Entwistle and GFFN’s Raphaël Jucobin face off in our Ligue 1 predictions competition. It’s three points for a correct score, two points for a correct score difference, and one point for a correct result. Who will come out on top at the end of the season?

PSG are currently the most in-form side in Europe. They deserved to beat Liverpool at the Parc des Princes last week but failed to do so but they made no mistake at Anfield. Their qualification, secured at Anfield, is a sign of how imperious this PSG side currently are. There is a fluidity to their game and within Luis Enrique’s meticulously devised system, the individuals themselves are thriving. Ousmane Dembélé was on the scoresheet once again against Liverpool and whilst his 21 goals make him the most prolific player in Europe’s top five divisions in 2025, he is not the only player experiencing a purple patch.
Confidence is brimming in this side and it is therefore difficult to give Marseille much of a chance at the Parc des Princes on Sunday night. Beyond OM’s recent dreadful record against their biggest rivals, there are absences and questions over form and mentality. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will miss the match, whilst the mentalities of Mason Greenwood and Luis Henrique have been questioned. The pair are Marseille’s top scorers this season but were dropped at the weekend as Lens performed a smash-and-grab at the Vélodrome.
Perhaps the glimmer of optimism for Marseille will come from events in midweek. Having gone to extra-time against Liverpool, a great deal of physical and mental energy was spent. Given that Luis Enrique was clear in wanting PSG to celebrate their success, will his players have sufficiently recovered to be at their best against Marseille. Roberto De Zerbi’s men have had a full week to prepare for this one but given Les Parisiens’ current form, that may not matter.
