Reims have announced that they have fired boss Óscar García following a 0-0 draw with PSG.

The side are winless in their last five games, and sit 15th in Ligue 1.

The decision was “in view of results that were below the expected objectives and in order to protect the best interests of the club,” according to an official statement.

This is the fourth sacking in Ligue 1 in less than a week after Peter Bosz was replaced by Laurent Blanc at Lyon, Michel Der Zakarian was fired from Brest, and Auxerre let go of Jean-Marc Furlan.

Assistant coach William Still will take charge of Reims for the interim period.
