MIAMI, Florida – Spots for the most important part of the season are getting clinched, although there is still some left, and the teams in the professional leagues across Concacaf are working as hard as ever to reach the postseason.

The NWSL has one more week left in the regular season, with nothing set in stone for teams trying to get to the playoffs.
The Portland Thorns will have a chance to defend their title, as they clinched a playoff spot on Saturday afternoon after beating Gotham FC 1-0. The goal that sealed their spot came in the 54’ from a header by MF Hima Sugita after a great cross from the left by MF Sam Coffey.
