Barcelona Femení striker Jennifer Hermoso has officially left the club after signing a new contract with Pachuca.
The 32-year-old, who finished second in the 2021 Ballon d’Or, was a pivotal figure in Barcelona’s attack over the years and now makes the move to Liga MX for the Apertura 2022.
The Spanish club are yet to announce her departure however Hermoso published a goodbye letter on social media on Tuesday where she confessed ‘Growing up is learning to say goodbye’ and she’s ‘proud to have given everything’ for Barcelona.
During her time with the Blaugrana, Hermoso scored 70 goals and was a vital squad member as Barcelona dominated women’s football which included winning the 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Over the years the Spain international has also played for Atlético Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Rayo Vallecano and Tyresö FF.
