Valencia 2-0 Eibar

Valencia kept their faint survival hopes alive with a successful home outing against Eibar. Marina Martí required just three minutes to open the scoring. Pauleta’s cross found its way to the back post for Martí to guide home a first-time finish. The scoreline remained a slender one until Yasmin Mrabet doubled the advantage just before the hour mark. The Morocco international sent a downward header past Eunate Astralaga after meeting Pauleta’s corner. Valencia kept Eibar at bay to claim a 2-0 win for the second game in a row. However, they still have significant work to do if they are to retain their Liga F status, with five points separating them from safety ahead of the final two matches of the season.

Costa Adeje Tenerife 2-0 Real Betis

Betis are now three points adrift of safety after they lost to Tenerife at the weekend. The hosts took an early lead courtesy of a Blanca Muñoz own goal. Jassina Blom made sure of the three points when she doubled the advantage in the second period. The Belgium international squeezed it past Noelia Gil Pérez at the near post to seal Tenerife’s first win since the end of March. As for Betis, they are now winless in three matches.

Sevilla 2-0 Levante

Natalia Padilla-Bidas netted a brace to guide Sevilla to all three points. The Poland international netted her first just after the half-hour mark, coolly slotting past the goalkeeper after latching onto Gemma Gili’s perfectly-weighted through ball. Padilla-Bidas took full advantage of another one-on-one situation to double the lead in the second period. The attacker showed great composure to round Andrea Tarazona and slide the ball into the awaiting net. As a result of the defeat, Levante are still at risk of relegation, with four points separating them from the drop zone.

Espanyol 0-3 Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad recorded an emphatic victory against Espanyol to end their 11-game winless league run. Amaiur Sarriegi found the net inside the opening minute to put her side on the front foot. Sanni Franssi consolidated Real Sociedad’s lead with a goal just before the hour mark. The forward steered the ball in from Cecilia Marcos’s cross towards the far post. Nerea Eizagirre then calmly slid the ball home to round off a successful outing for the visitors.

Madrid CFF 1-2 Levante Badalona

Levante Badalona boosted their survival hopes with a narrow win over Madrid CFF. The visitors were forced to come from behind after Emilie Nautnes gave the hosts the lead in the 56th minute. The visitors quickly hit back through Sonia Majarín. The Atlético Madrid loanee tapped home from close range after the ball dropped kindly from a deep free-kick. Badalona were then given the chance to go to the penalty spot after the referee ruled that Ásdís Karen Halldórsdóttir had handled the ball. María Llompart shouldered the responsibility to drive home the spot-kick. Badalona celebrated a crucial win that has moved them four points clear of the relegation zone.

Atlético Madrid 1-0 Athletic Club

Atlético are on the verge of securing UWCL qualification after getting the better of fourth-placed Athletic Club. Gio Garbelini scored what proved to be the game’s decisive goal in the 54th minute. The forward saw her initial header blocked, before she pounced on the loose ball to fire home her fifth Liga F goal of the season. Unfortunately for Athletic, they were unable to produce a response to Gio’s effort, as they fell to their first away league defeat since November. Atleti are now four points clear of Athletic with just two games left to play against Eibar and Badalona.

Granada 1-2 Real Madrid

Granada’s faint European hopes were quashed by their narrow defeat to Real Madrid. Caroline Weir netted an 11th-minute opener to get Las Blancas off to the best possible start at Nuevo Los Cármenes. Weir thumped the ball in from close range after Granada failed to deal with a looping cross. Las Blancas took a narrow lead into the break, but they were stopped in their tracks by Edna Imade’s equaliser in the second period. Edna received the ball with her back to goal, before she quickly turned to fire in off Misa’s left post.

Edna’s 15th league goal of the season looked to have secured Granada a point, only for Linda Caicedo to net a dramatic winner in the 75th minute. The Colombia international found herself unmarked in the box, giving her the time and space to guide the ball past Sandra Estévez. The win keeps Real Madrid in the title picture, although it would take something remarkable to stop Barcelona from retaining their title.

Barcelona 4-0 Deportivo La Coruña

Barcelona remain four points clear after they swept aside Deportivo at the weekend. Ewa Pajor fired the ball in off the crossbar to put Barça in front. The striker then headed home from Ona Batlle’s cross to make it 2-0 at the break. Alexia Putellas pounced onto a rebound to take Barcelona’s lead to three with just under 20 minutes remaining. There was still plenty of time left for Aitana Bonmatí to get in on the act. The midfielder passed the ball into the far corner after being teed up by Putellas. The leaders could clinch the title in their upcoming meeting with Real Betis. As for Deportivo, they are sitting just three points above the bottom two.
