‘Liar’ – Real Madrid star hits back at claims of ‘anger’ with role vs Las Palmas | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has moved to hit back at the media, in the aftermath of the club’s latest outing.

This comes after claims spread that he was left nothing short of furious with the lack of minutes afforded to him in the clash.

Real marked their return to action on Thursday night, making the trip to Gran Canaria for a La Liga meeting with Las Palmas.

When all was said and done on a disappointing evening’s work, Los Blancos were forced to make do with a share of the spoils, owing to a 1-1 stalemate.

Amongst those left to watch on from the sidelines as his side stuttered their way through proceedings on Thursday, meanwhile, was Dani Ceballos.

Amid heavy speculation linking him with a late-window departure from Spain’s capital, former Arsenal man Ceballos was not afforded a single minute of playing time against Las Palmas.

As much was quickly followed by reports spreading in the media that the midfielder was left bemused by his treatment on the part of boss Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff.

Diario AS, for one, wrote:

‘Ceballos is very angry with his zero minutes in Las Palmas!’

Safe to say, however, that the player himself was not willing to accept such claims lying down.

In fact, reposting the quotes in question to his official ‘X’ account, the 28-year-old responded with the simple accompanying caption:

‘Liar’
