There have been many reports in the past few days suggesting FC Barcelona entering negotiations with Bayern Munich over Robert Lewandowski.

The Bavarians are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for the forward after he publicly confirmed he will not sign any contract extension in Bavaria.

Reputed journalist Gerard Romero has now dropped another update on the issue, revealing Pini Zahavi, Lewandowski’s agent, is now in Barcelona.

This could serve as a massive boost for FC Barcelona as it seems to suggest the two parties are now set to be locked in negotiations over Lewandowski’s personal terms.

Barça are well aware of the fact that meeting the player’s demands could be a tricky task given their financial situation. As such, they could look to find an agreement with the Pole before making an official bid to Bayern Munich.

Lewandowski currently earns a gross salary of around €22 million in Munich. Meeting such wages could greatly break the club’s financial structure while potentially creating chaos within the dressing room.

But it appears Lewandowski is keen on a move to Catalonia and is reportedly prepared to take a large pay cut of €6 million in order to ease the operation for Barcelona.

Gerard Romero further adds that Zahavi has bought ten official Barcelona kits from the official store with Lewandowski’s name in the back, thus hinting at a potential agreement.

Although Barcelona are yet to launch an official bid for the Bayern Munich forward, it is apparent they have the backing of the player and the two parties could soon reach a personal agreement, ahead of the Pole’s potential move to Camp Nou this summer.
