Scorers: Morata 25′; Lewandowski 54′.

Spain will go into the final game of Group E in third place after a resilient Poland earned a 1-1 draw in Seville thanks to an equaliser from Robert Lewandowski.

The Poles came close in the early stages when Mateusz Klich’s dipping shot from 25-yards out glancing just over Unai Simón’s crossbar.

But it was Álvaro Morata, who has been the subject of criticism after his performance in the opening goal against Sweden, who put Spain ahead with a poacher’s finish from Gerard Moreno’s goal-bound shot from six yards out.

Poland will be wondering how they didn’t equalise just before half-time when Karol Świderski’s low drive hit the post before Lewandowski was denied from close range by Simòn on the rebound.

The Bayern Munich striker made up for that miss in the early stages of the second half when he headed home Kamil Jóźwiak’s cross to equalise for Poland for his 62nd goal for his country.

Moreno then had the perfect opportunity to restore Spain’s lead when he was fouled by Jakub Moder in the box, but the Villarreal striker his the post with his spot-kick.

Wojciech Szczęsny then denied Morata with a stunning save from close range as Luis Enrique’s side searched for a winner but Poland held out and now Spain need to win their final game with Slovakia to ensure of qualification to the last-16.

Scorers: Ronaldo 15′ Jota 67′; Dias OG 35′, Guerreiro OG 39′, Havertz 54′, Gosens 60′

Germany bounced back from their opening game loss by sending Portugal packing with a blistering performance in Munich.

After a dominant start, they were denied an opener by VAR following a fantastic volleyed finish from Robin Gosens at the back post but against the run of play, Portugal broke on a rare foray forward that saw Diogo Jota tee up Cristiano Ronaldo for the lead.

Germany then turned the game around completely when Gosens again caused havoc with a far post volley, which was turned in accidentally by Rúben Dias before Raphaël Guerreiro also put into his own net to give the ‘home’ side the lead.

After the break, they extended their lead with a goal entirely of their own making as the sensational Gosens drilled a low cross onto the foot of Kai Havertz to grab his first of the tournament.

They added a fourth on the hour-mark when one wing-back crossed for another, Joshua Kimmich picking out Gosens to plant a header home from close range but Portugal cut the deficit back to two when Ronaldo repaid Jota’s earlier favour by setting up his team-mate for another easy finish.

The result sees Germany leapfrog Portugal into second place, a point behind France and two ahead of Hungary after those sides’ earlier draw.

Hungary claimed a shock point against France in front of a packed-put home support in Budapest to open things up in Group F.

They took a shock lead moments before the break after Péter Gulácsi had kept them in it when Atilla Fiola raced through down the left and finished at the near post to an explosion of noise.

France were denied a leveller by the woodwork when substitute Ousmane Dembélé came off the bench to blast a strike against the post before they did ultimately equalise.

That goal came from Antoine Griezmann, who capitalised on a long ball forward from Hugo Lloris to turn Kylian Mbappé’s redirected pass into the net and rescue a point.

The result keeps France top on four points, while Hungary move on to one ahead of Germany’s clash with Portugal next.
