Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine challenge the treble-winning MSN

Article image:Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine challenge the treble-winning MSN

One of FC Barcelona’s greatest strengths lies in its lethal attacking trident. Between Raphinha, Lewandowski and Lamine they have scored 66 of the 113 goals that the team has scored so far this season. These attacking players have started 2025 with their sights set firmly on the goal and with what already seems to be a magnet for goals. Something that is reminiscent of the legendary FC Barcelona forward line formed by Leo Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar, or what is the same, the MSN.

The current forward line, which could be called the LRL, is replicating the numbers of the MSN in the season in which the Barça achieved a treble, something that Hansi Flick’s team are still fighting for. They won the Spanish Super Cup, are in the last sixteen of the Champions League, two points behind the leader and in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey where Atlético Madrid await them.

According to the statistics offered by BeSoccer Pro, in the first 36 games, Hansi Flick’s forward line scored 66 goals and made 29 assists, while the line formed by Messi, Suárez and Neymar reached 68 goals and 34 assists, that is to say two goals and five assists more. These are minimal differences, but not so much if you look at the overall team tally. In the 14/15 season, the attacking trident practically monopolized all the scoring, while at present the rest of the team has a greater offensive weight, as is the case of Ferrán Torres, fourth highest scorer.

Robert Lewandowski has the best numbers in the current forward line, which has earned him a contract renewal that will be sealed shortly. The Pole has scored 31 goals and provided 3 assists in 33 games. Another player who is having a great season is Raphinha, who has scored 24 goals and provided 13 assists in 35 games, while Lamine Yamane has provided more assists than goals (13 assists and 11 goals) in the 31 games he has played so far.

Raphinha, mproving Vinicius

As we said, Raphinha is going through one of the best moments of his career. They say that comparisons are odious, but comparing the numbers of the Barça player with a candidate for the Ballon d’Or serves to show the magnitude of the season he is having. The Barça player has already matched the statistics that made Vinicius one of the top candidates to win the coveted award last season. The Brazilian winger had 25 goals and 12 assists in 40 games played, so with 24 goals already to his name and half a season still to play, the Barça player aims to surpass the Real Madrid player’s records.
