Barcelona faced off against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result away from home in La Liga. Xavi’s men made a quick start to the contest and scored the opening goal in the 38th minute when Joao Felix found the back of the net. Barca went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Robert Lewandowski doubled his team’s advantage in the 47th minute before Fermin Lopez killed the game off in the 65th minute.  Nahuel Molina was sent off in injury time as the match ended with Barcelona securing an impressive 3-0 win on the road.

He made a few important saves at the back and earned a well-deserved clean sheet tonight.

He put his foot through the ball when he could and did enough to restrict the home team from scoring.

LB: Hector Fort – 7/10

He made a positive impact at both ends of the field.

CM: Fermin Lopez – 7.5/10

Lopez was always willing to have a strike at goal and managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the 65th minute.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan – 8/10

The Germany international caught the eye in both halves and offered adequate protection for his teammates at the back.

CM: Sergi Roberto – 7/10

He came back to defend when needed but offered very little in the final third.

RW: Raphinha – 7.5/10

Raphinha made a few encouraging runs with the ball and managed to pick up an assist.

ST: Robert Lewandowski – 9.5/10

The Polish striker caused all sorts of headaches for the opposition defenders and ended the game with a goal and a couple of assists to his name.

LW: Joao Felix – 7.5/10

He caught the eye at times and managed to find the back of the net early in the second half.
