And Lewandowski wasted little time in providing his former employers a reminder of his qualities in Wednesday’s clash at Montjuïc.

The Poland international followed the ball home after a defensive mix-up by the visitors allowed FermĂ­n LĂłpez to slot past Manuel Neuer.

In doing so, Lewandowski claimed his 36th different opponent in the Champions League with Bayern joining a growing list of victims.
