Robert Lewandowski and Alexia Putellas have been named as the Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year at the Fifa Best Awards on Monday.

The Bayern Munich star beat the likes of Lionel Messi (PSG/Argentina) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool/Egypt) to claim back-to-back honours.

Meanwhile, the Barcelona captain edged Jennifer Hermoso (Barcelona/Spain) and Sam Kerr (Chelsea/Australia).


Puskas Award

Érik Lamela was named as the Fifa Puskás Award winner for 2021 after scoring an impressive rabona for Tottenham against rivals Arsenal.

Lamela, who now plays for Sevilla, beat fellow finalists Patrik Schick (Bayer Leverkusen/Czech Republic) and Mehdi Taremi (Porto/Iran) to claim the prize.
