Bayern Munich duo Robert Lewandowski and Leon Goretzka have returned to the training pitch as their respective injury comebacks continue.
Lewandowski was ruled out for four-to-six weeks after suffering knee ligament damage on international duty, was seen working individually at Säbener Straße on Thursday.
According to kicker, the 32-year-old is aiming to return for Bayern’s clash against Mainz on April 24, meaning he will miss the upcoming fixtures against Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen.
Meanwhile, Leon Goretzka is facing another battle to be fit for Saturday’s trip to Wolfsburg after suffering a muscle injury in the first-leg defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
The midfielder was also working individually alongside fitness coach Holger Broich on Thursday.
Serge Gnabry will see his quarantine formally end at the start of next week after testing positive for COVID-19, while Niklas Süle is still working his way back.
