Le Havre, Lens, Marseille, Lyon and of course the Stade Pierre Mauroy. These are all the places that Lille have picked up points at since their last league defeat on 26 September.

The Northerner's seven-game unbeaten run has them sitting pretty in fourth, a point outside the top three.

"We are going well in the standings," coach Paulo Fonseca told the Ligue 1 Show. "The team is playing well, is balanced, is defending well. I'm positive!"

The four-time Champions have built their success on their back-line, the joint-second best defence in the league, with seven clean sheets to its name.

Only Toulouse and Lens have found their way past impressive 22-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier during the current run.

Every little bit...

However, they haven't been so prodigious going forward... but Paulo Fonseca's men have scored in all but one game in season 2023-24.

"As a whole, we're playing well," said star striker Jonathan David. "We're managing to keep the ball and create chances."

Top of their group in Europe and a point better off in the league than they were at the same point last season, Les Dogues are well on course to finish inside the top five for the sixth time in seven years!

"I am satisfied," said the Portuguese. "I'm positive about what's to come!"
