Les Bleus to make at least six changes to the lineup against Tunisia, but Kylian Mbappé prefers not being one of them | OneFootball

As reported by L’Équipe’s Bertrand Latour, Les Bleus could have at least 6 changes to the lineup when they take the field against Tunisia. France has secured their place in the knockout stage, but Didier Deschamps will still want to finish in the top spot in the group and keep the team firing on all cylinders.

France already being qualified also allows Deschamps to possibly test Eduardo Camavinga at left-back. After Lucas Hernandez injury the French manager decided to not bring in any additional players. This left only Lucas’s brother, Theo at the position. In the event of Theo getting injured, Deschamps has not only been deploying Camavinga at left-back in practice, but also in a friendly against Al-Ahli Sunday night. It is possible Deschamps may give Camavinga playing time in the new role against Tunisia.

As GFFN covered, The team that started against Al-Ahli had Steve Mandanda in goal, Eduardo Camavinga (left-back), William Saliba, Ibrahima Konaté and Benjamin Pavard. In the middle, Axel Disasi was played next to Youssouf Fofana, Jordan Veretout and Mattéo Guendouzi. In attack Kolo Muani and Kingsley Coman got the start.

L’Équipe also reported that Kylian Mbappé is keen on playing over resting. This comes at no surprise with the form he is in. One thing worth noting is that Deschamps now has 5 substitutes at his disposal in this World Cup versus the 3 he had in the past. This will allow him to possibly feel out the match and make subs instead of starting with more bench players. One thing is for certain, all eyes will be on France’s training sessions until Wednesday.
