Leroy Sané has rejected a contract offer from Bayern Munich, confirms Max Eberl. The 29-year-old’s current deal with the Rekordmeister expires next month, with no agreement in sight.

Speaking in the mixed zone after Bayern Munich’s win against Hoffenheim, Ebel said: “He said today that he doesn’t want to accept our offer in this form. There’s no bad blood. The offer is there. We’ve expressed our desire. You can sense, at least in my opinion, that Leroy wants to stay. Now we’ll see what happens in the next few days.”

According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich offers Sané a base fee of €10m, plus a further €5.5m in bonuses, with no signing on fee. Should the Germany international not accept another proposal from Bayern Munich, he won’t be short of options with Arsenal and Chelsea interested in the winger.

Advised by Pini Zahavi, naturally Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been linked with Sané. Zahavi was instrumental in bringing Hansi Flick to Barcelona and David Alaba to Real.
