The Premier League has only recorded player speed since the 2013/14 season, but it was confirmed that the German forward was clocked at 35.48km/hr.
The record was set in Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Chelsea in October, beating out Jamie Vardy’s 35.44km/hr sprint back in an August 2015 clash with West Brom.
Team-mate Kyle Walker was recorded at 35.42 km/hr this season, putting him in a tie for third all-time with Patrick van Aanholt.
