Various media reports out of Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil claim 33-year-old Argentine striker Mauro Boselli is preparing to travel to Brazil to sign a two-year contract with Corinthians.
Boselli was wanted by 2018 Liga MX Apertura champions Club América, however, the Eagles were only willing to give him a one-year deal.
In 203 career appearances for Club León, Boselli scored a whopping 118 goals and contributed 17 assists after coming over from Wigan for just under €2m in July 2013.
Boselli started his career in the Boca Juniors academy before graduating to the first team in 2003 and joined the Málaga ‘B’ squad on loan in 2005.
The striker, capped four times by Argentina, also spent time with Estudiantes, Wigan, Genoa, and Palermo.
The 33-year old has won titles all over the globe including the Copa Libertadores twice, the Copa Sudamericana, the FA Cup, and the Liga MX title twice.
Corinthians are coming off a horrendous 2018 season, finishing just two points above the relegation zone after winning the Brasileirão in 2017.
